A new host will receive the NFL Draft as the party stays down south

NFL Draft enthusiasts, fans, and teams alike will flock to Nashville, Tennessee on April 25 for the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL owners approved the city of Nashville as the host of the 2019 NFL Draft, continuing the latest trend of moving the annual event across the country.

A specific location in Nashville has not been set for the draft stage/theater, though several locations across the city are potential destinations and attractions.

Tennessee Titans senior writer/editor Jim Wyatt offered the following destinations in Nashville as potential homes for the main stage: Nissan Stadium, lower Broadway, Ascend Amphitheater, the Music City Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Music City Walk of Fame Park.

Chicago and Philadelphia each had some or all of the draft outdoors, with Philadelphia in 2017 being entirely outside on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway up to the steps of the Museum of Art, aka the Rocky Steps, and has been widely considered the best of the drafts since moving out of New York City.

Dallas brought everything inside to AT&T Stadium this year and received high marks for the event.

Nashville has certainly gained national attraction in recent years with the growth of country music and their sports teams. The expansion NHL franchise Nashville Predators have also had a part in bringing the sports worlds attention to the town.

The economic impact on the city will be tremendous with Philadelphia seeing approximately $95 million from tourism during the draft.
