NFL Owners Meetings: 5 things to watch for this week
NFL Draft/Super Bowl sites
As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 2019 NFL Draft is expected to be awarded to the city of Nashville and the Tennessee Titans. After decades of being in New York City the NFL Draft has evolved into a traveling show similar to the Super Bowl. Chicago, Philadelphia, and Dallas have hosted the Draft over the last three years, and Nashville will reportedly follow suit.
There’s also a possibility the league announces a location for the 2020 NFL Draft with multiple cities bidding for the event. Denver, Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Cleveland/Canton have been among the strongest bids to host the annual event. Canton, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, could host in 2020 as the league marks its 100th year.
Los Angeles will likely get a crack at the NFL Draft when their new stadium/arena is finished in the coming years.
Super Bowl hosting duties will also be announced with Arizona and New Orleans expected to receive the honors for Super Bowls 57 and 58, respectively. Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, and Los Angeles have already been awarded the next four Super Bowls.
