John Dorsey is not done making moves for the Cleveland Browns

Hours after completing a trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry and cornerback Damarious Randall from the Green Bay Packers, the Cleveland Browns have added a Pro Bowl quarterback.

Cleveland will send the 65th overall pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The trade signals a shift in power in the AFC after Taylor led the Bills to their first playoff appearance since 1999, but was clearly not the Bills long-term answer at quarterback.

Taylor has an $18 million cap hit this year with three option years remaining on his contract.

Randall was the Packers first round pick in 2015 and has picked off 10 passes in 39 games with Green Bay. He projects to be the Browns starting cornerback opposite Jamar Taylor with Devin McCourty.

Adding a high third-round draft pick the Bills appear to be prepping themselves to trade up in the NFL Draft for a quarterback. Buffalo owns the 21st and 22nd overall picks after trading back in the draft last year with Kansas City, and while Nathan Peterman was drafted on the third day the Bills starting quarterback likely isn’t on their roster.

Free agents Sam Bradford, A.J. McCarron, Case Keenum, and Kirk Cousins are also potential options if the Bills use their newly found cap space to spend once again on a quarterback.

Cleveland may now seriously consider running back Saquon Barkley with the number one overall pick if they are not willing to take a quarterback number one overall. If the Browns believe they can develop a quarterback not currently on their roster behind Taylor they can use the number four pick on Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen.
