Baker Mayfield visited with 11 teams at the NFL Scouting Combine
Interest around Baker Mayfield was high at the NFL Scouting Combine
Baker Mayfield is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft, and his draft projections fall all across NFL draft boards. The Heisman Trophy winner took his talents from Norman, Oklahoma to Indianapolis for the NFL scouting combine where he reportedly met with 11 teams.
Robert Klemko of the Monday Morning Quarterback says that the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Miami Dolphins each sat down with the Oklahoma star.
Both the Browns and Bills own two first round picks, although each team sits on opposite ends of the first round. Cleveland owns picks numbers one and four thanks to the Texans trade last year, while the Bills own 21 and 22 thanks to the Chiefs moving up for Patrick Mahomes last year.

Buffalo, Denver, Cleveland, Arizona, and the New York Jets are all looking for someone who can start on day one as the franchise quarterback, while the remaining teams have a veteran starter in place and the rookie can marinate for a year or two.
Cleveland general manager John Dorsey reportedly opened the interview with a joke about food trucks, referencing Mayfield’s arrest last year after a fight near a cluster of food trucks. Mayfield also said he prefers to drink either Michelob Ultra or Dos Equis beer, and likely not before he took a urine test at 3:30 in the morning.
Mayfield could go anywhere in the draft from fourth overall to Cleveland to 15th with the Cardinals. Whoever takes him will have their job on the line, especially if they trade up.
