Sanchez has proven himself a trusted mentor to Trubisky as he continues working towards improvement. He’ll also provide value as a primary backup quarterback given his experience. Meredith was poised for a big year prior to his injury and deserves another chance. Inman isn’t a #1 guy by any stretch but he’s a hard worker and knows how to get open. Brown and Compton are quality reserves who can be be kept on the cheap.

Unrein never gets enough credit for how solid he is, particularly against the run. Jones has put together the best season of his career and seems to be only getting better. Timu time and again has proven his worth as a quality backup. Fuller and Amukamara aren’t an elite tandem at corner but their pairing has significantly improved the coverage in the secondary. McManis is a special teams captain. Santos is a quality leg who needs time to get himself healthy. O’Donnell has had the best season of his career punting the ball.
