NFL’s craziest plays, week 9: Tyreek Hill & Robert Woods top the list
The Giants’ 3rd and 33 debacle
This play is absolutely hysterical, and really a microcosm of what the New York Giants currently are.
The Los Angeles Rams can really do no wrong at this point in time, including on 3rd and 33. With 33 yards to get to the line to gain, the Giants concede 52 to Rams wide receiver Robert Woods, who catches a screen pass and slices through the Giants’ prevent defense like there’s almost no one there.
This wasn’t the only breakdown in coverage for the Giants in this game, but it was certainly the most hilarious.
How do you allow a 3rd and 33 to be converted? How do you give up a touchdown on 3rd and 33?
We all know Sean McVay knows how to operate an NFL offense, but I don’t think even he expected this play to gain more than 10, 15 yards.
