Tom Savage’s first NFL touchdown

Tom Savage has been in the NFL with the Houston Texans since 2014.

He has thrown 149 career passes, completing 82 of them.

This, in the fourth year of his NFL career, is his first NFL touchdown pass. What a moment.

Though the Texans’ season is basically over with the losses of DeShaun Watson, J.J. Watt, and Whitney Mercilus, this was a bright moment for Savage who earned every bit of this touchdown.

The degree of difficulty on this throw is pretty high, and the catch is a tough one even for DeAndre Hopkins. We still remember a time when the NFL Draft community really loved Savage’s NFL potential, and I suppose here on this particular play, he showed the best of what he is capable of being.

We’ll see how Savage follows this performance up next weekend.
