Mike Wallace injury update: Ravens down another WR
We have the latest Mike Wallace injury update after a scary play versus Minnesota
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace is officially listed as out with a concussion against the Minnesota Vikings after a play early in the first quarter on Sunday.
The veteran wide receiver lost his helmet and hit his head on the ground with extreme force while attempting to run after the catch against his former team.
Vikings veteran cornerback, and former teammate of Wallace, Xavier Rhodes had forced a fumble after stripping the ball out of Wallace’s hands while safety Andrew Sendejo landed a hit on the receiver’s side.
The result left Wallace’s helmet flying before the receiver fell to the group, smacking his head against the turf field in Minnesota.
Baltimore, who entered the game without veteran wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, announced Wallace was placed in the concussion protocol. Former first-round pick Breshad Perriman and Chris Matthews were also inactive for the game.

Without Wallace, Perriman, or Maclin the Ravens were left with wide receiver Michael Campanaro and tight ends Benjamin Watson and Nick Boyle as their leading receivers.
Veteran Griff Whalen is expected to see more opportunities on Sunday with multiple teammates out.
Wallace has never officially been listed with a concussion in the NFL, but has suffered multiple back, chest, and knee injuries in his nine-year career. His NFL journey has taken him from Pittsburgh as a third-round pick to Miami, Minnesota, and now with Baltimore.
