We have the Cam Robinson injury update after an early injury against the Colts

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie left tackle Cam Robinson went down on the second play of the game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Robinson’s injury came after center Brandon Lindor shoved Colts defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins, who rolled up on Robinson’s leg.

Robinson was in obvious pain with what appeared to be a left ankle injury. Trainers helped Robinson off the field and he was immediately listed as questionable to return.

After returning to the sideline Robinson was placed on a cart and taken to the locker room for further evaluation. He’ll likely have x-rays done on that ankle, and will remain questionable, if not doubtful, to return.

Jacksonville entered the game without first-round pick Leonard Fournette, who was recovering from an ankle injury. The running back was originally expected to play against the Colts, but it appears the team knew all along he was doubtful.

Robinson, meanwhile, was the Jaguars second-round pick in 2017 out of Alabama. He won the left tackle job after recently-acquired veteran tackle Branden Albert went AWOL in August. Jacksonville had traded a 2018 seventh-round pick to Miami for Albert, only to see him announce his retirement in training camp.

With Robinson thrust into the starting role the Jaguars offense has looked strong and consistent on the backs of their two top rookies. Robinson had played 98% of the Jaguars snaps on offense, making him a key piece of their early success.
