Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys get back on track with win
The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott got back on track with a win over the Arizona Cardinals following their blowout loss in Denver…
The Dallas Cowboys were the subject of much scrutiny from the media after their blowout loss against the Denver Broncos. Specifically, quarterback Dak Prescott was criticized for an inability to really pick up the offense and make the necessary plays to even keep the game against Denver respectable.
That game ended with an exclamation point in the form of Aqib Talib intercepting and returning one of Prescott’s passes 103 yards for a touchdown.
Needless to say, Prescott needed a bounce back game against the Cardinals on Monday Night Football in week three, and he had it.
Prescott made some huge plays in this game as the Cowboys went on to score four touchdowns (three accounted for by Prescott) and beat the Cardinals 28-17, improving to 2-1 on the season.
Despite not throwing the ball a ton, Prescott completed over 72 percent of his passes, much higher than the 61.5 percent from week one, or the 60 percent from week two. It was the type of performance Cowboys fans had gotten used to seeing from their young quarterback, and perhaps a sign of things to come.

The loss against Denver seemed to really refocus the Cowboys as a team, even though the defense was still a bit porous in this one, allowing Larry Fitzgerald to have a vintage performance and Carson Palmer to throw for 325.
Back to Prescott, who made some ‘wow’ plays in this game.
His throw on the move to Brice Butler is an absolute superstar throw. That type of play is one that your team can point to as a rallying point for the season.
The game at that point was tied at 14 in the early portion of the fourth quarter, and Prescott made a huge play to give the Cowboys a lead. The Cardinals responded later with a field goal, and the Cowboys put the game away with a four-play, 75-yard touchdown drive later in the fourth.
It looks like the Cowboys are back on track.
