Kareem Hunt headlines top NFL Rookies through week 2

9. Kevin King, CB, Packers

The Packers didn’t come away from Atlanta with a victory, but they found their new number one cornerback, it looks like.

Kevin King was the team’s first round pick this year, and is already playing like he’s been around for a while. He was very good against the Atlanta Falcons, and among NFL rookie cornerbacks, he has allowed the lowest passer rating when targeted in coverage.

It’ll be really interesting to see how King continues to develop. The Packers obviously play some games in-division against Matthew Stafford and Sam Bradford, but he won’t face anyone better than he does every single day in practice.

If he can continue this type of play throughout the season, we’ll be talking about him as one of the next best cornerbacks in the entire league.
