Adam Shaheen (2nd Round)

The Soldier Field experience didn’t result in much of anything for Shaheen. He never really got a chance to catch the ball, which isn’t his fault. He spent most of his time on the field contributing as a blocker while veteran counterpart Dion Sims got the spotlight with a couple big catches from Mike Glennon. Not that this will bother the coaches. Sometimes a player just can’t get any action due to situations. It’s just like that in actual games.

Besides it won’t erase what Shaheen has done in practices at camp. The big tight end has consistently given defenders a headache. Not only is he a big target with velcro-like hands, he’s also athletic. This means he knows how to get himself separation on pass plays. It’s bad enough trying to cover the wide catch radius he offers but simply staying with him is a challenge as well. It’s precisely the reason the Bears drafted him.
