2. Is this Bruce Arians’ last year?

Is this Bruce Arians’ last year with the Cardinals?

That’s really none of my business, but I hope it isn’t. The product of his hard work as a coach is definitely fun to watch, but the strain of being a head coach in the NFL takes its mental and physical toll.

I think after what he’s endured in recent years, his health is something to monitor closely. Ironically, it was when he filled in for Chuck Pagano with the Indianapolis Colts that he really became one of those breakout head coaching candidates.

Arians is a phenomenal NFL mind, especially when it comes to orchestrating an offense. But everyone has a limit and if the thought of this being his final season is hanging over his head, that type of thing can spread into the locker room.

Last season, the Denver Broncos and head coach Gary Kubiak faced a similar issue, and with Kubiak’s health in question, the focus of the team seemed to be all over the place on game day.

I hope that’s not the case with the Cardinals and wish Arians a healthy 2017 season, but depending on how things go, he could very well choose to step down after this year or possibly even at some point during the season.
