Philadelphia officially moves on from the wideout who never put in the dedication to be the next big NFL receiver

Dorial Green-Beckham has been officially been released by the Philadelphia Eagles after one season.

Green-Beckham has always had major issues surrounding him, dating back to college when he was released from Missouri.

Tennessee originally took a chance on the athletic freak in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Green-Beckham caught four touchdowns and recorded over 500 receiving yards, certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Drops and dedication on and off the field would ultimately lead to the Titans trading the receiver after one year to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Desperate for receiver help the Eagles acquired the receiver for back up offensive lineman Dennis Kelly.

The athletic freak without the heart, Green-Beckham continued to plague his career with drops and incorrect route running. Working with rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, sophomore Green-Beckham was an incredible headache making only two touchdown catches.

Philadelphia bolstered their receiving core during the offseason with the additions of Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith, making Green-Beckham’s departure almost guaranteed.

Another NFL team will take a chance on Green-Beckham, but the desire to improve is not there. A local Philadelphia radio station dubbed him the “Green Slime” and was ready to send him to a fictional wide receiver institute in Europe.

If this recent release doesn’t wake up the former high school star receiver, nothing ever will. He’s simply an athletic freak without the heart and love for the game of football.
