Cleveland Browns: Who is the answer at quarterback?

Imagine being head coach Hue Jackson and you need to make a decision as to who will be taking snaps under center at the most important position in the sport of football.

You look to your left and you see Cody Kessler. An eight game starter for you in 2016 who led the team in passing with 1,380 yards and six touchdowns with a QB rating of 92.3. He’s solid. Not spectacular and one who will improve an entire offense. Just solid.

You look to your right and you see rookie DeShone Kizer. Your 2nd round draft pick who passed for 5,805 yards and 47 touchdowns in just two seasons at the University of Notre Dame. A passer with great size, a strong arm, and has garnered comparisons to division rival Ben Roethlisberger. Again, he’s a rookie who is still fairly raw at this stage of his development.

Then you look straight ahead and you see 6’7 Brock Osweiler. A quarterback with potential who is fresh off his first and only season in Houston where he earned a four-year, $72 million dollar contract last March. That one season in Houston saw Osweiler pass for 2,957 yards, 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The stats do not tell the entire story of his hideous season.

Make a decision.
