Pittsburgh Steelers: How important is the return of WR Martavis Bryant?

Behind the nucleus of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell, and receiver Antonio Brown, the Steelers were 7th in total offense, 10th in scoring offense, and 8th in yards per play. Productive if you ask me.

Even more impressive was the fact that the Steelers accomplished that without their big play deep receiver in Martavis Bryant who missed the entire season thanks to a suspension handed down for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

During Bryant’s first two seasons in the league (2014-15), Bryant averaged 17.3 yards per catch along with 14 regular-season touchdowns and another two in three postseason games. In summation, Bryant was incredibly productive for the Steelers during his two seasons. His presence gave an already dangerous offense a lethal element for defenses. Now that Bryant is back on the field for Pittsburgh, its only right to begin to think that the Steelers have a group that can make a recognizable case as the best offense in the league. The Steelers have plenty to be excited about this offseason and are legit Super Bowl contenders. Getting the return of one of the best deep threat receivers in the league makes the Steelers downright dangerous.
