Fantasy Football: Five rookies worth drafting and stashing
Evan Engram – TE – New York Giants
Engram may have a more productive career than O.J Howard. In fact, he could have the most successful career out of every name on this list. Howard is the safer option, but Engram is the home-run threat. Evan Engram is a long, athletic red zone threat. He makes acrobatic catches, he outruns any linebackers that try to mirror him and he just joined one of the most elite passing offenses in the NFL. The Giants have had a major hole at tight end since Jeremy Shockey left. And that hole was just more than filled by Engram. Eli Manning’s career is coming to a close but he loves his tight ends and hasn’t been able to rely on the tight end position in the last few years.
The Giants front office giving Manning Engram is a beautiful reward for years of having to throw to stone hands Larry Donnell. Engram is explosive, and he will be able to get open off the line or from the slot. He isn’t the best blocker, but who cares? This is fantasy football, offensive stats rule.

While defenses are focused on Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepherd, they will be getting eaten alive by Engram. He is a mismatch nightmare and has the best chance to dominate his position group in fantasy football for years to come.
