Cleveland Browns:  Joe Thomas

The lone ship still floating in a sea of wreckage. That’s what it must feel like to be Joe Thomas. The Cleveland Browns have had nobody even close to Hall of Fame recognition since the franchise returned from death in 1999. Only Thomas has emerged from that dark fog. A shining beacon for fans to rally around. Indeed the left tackle is a physical marvel. Not only has he reached 10 Pro Bowls in his career. He’s done so without missing a single game during that time.

That’s absolutely unheard of, even in this era where player safety is more important than ever. To say nothing of the fact that Thomas hasn’t tried to force his way out of town. Something people would’ve completely understood given the ineptitude the Browns have fallen into over the years. He’s not only a once-in-a-generation talent, he’s also loyal. Men like that are very rare and should be appreciated.  A bust in Canton may not make up for no Super Bowl ring, but it’s a start.
