Temple. Haason Reddick. 9. player. 56. There isn’t a player I like more in this draft than Haason Reddick. He’s helped his draft stock more than anyone and has the ability to start right away. There’s a chance that he’s off the board at this selection but if he’s on the board, there’s no way the Bengals hesitate.
Drafting a linebacker was a need going into the draft. After cutting Rey Maualuga, that need became even bigger. The Bengals had the 21st ranked rush defense in the NFL last year and allowed 12 rushing touchdowns. Improving that should be important, especially with Le’Veon Bell in their division.

Haason Reddick tested off the charts at the Combine:

Height: 6’1
Weight: 237 lbs.
40-yard dash: 4.52 seconds
Bench press: 24 reps
Vertical jump: 36.5 inches
Broad jump: 133 inches
3-cone drill: 7.01 seconds
20-yard shuttle: 4.37 seconds

With numbers like that, you can make a case for him to be your top linebacker. Coming off the edge, there might not be a better linebacker in the class. He can rush the passer, he can help in run support and he has the ability to drop into coverage. To further my point, he had 22.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks this past season. He’s probably best suited as a 4-3 WILL backer and that would be a position of interest for the Bengals.
.
