Famous Jameis gets the spotlight this year as Hard Knocks comes to Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay has been selected by the NFL and HBO to be featured in the annual NFL preseason show Hard Knocks. Camera crews will follow the Buccaneers throughout training camp and the preseason as the team looks to break a playoff drought lasting since 2007.
A team with multiple intriguing personalities, this year’s season of Hard Knocks will surely be an upgrade over the monotone Jeff Fisher in Los Angeles.
Running since 2001, Hard Knocks has given NFL fans a unique behind the scenes of their favorite teams. This will be the first time Tampa Bay has been featured on Hard Knocks, who were among seven finalists for this season.
Quarterback Jameis Winston will likely be the star of the show as he enters this third NFL season since being drafted number one overall from Florida State. The background story surrounding running back Doug Martin, who recently left rehab, is also likely to hit on the show.
Tampa Bay took major strides in free agency picking up DeSean Jackson, Chris Baker, and J.J. Wilcox. They’ll have a tough fight heading towards the playoffs with the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons and a resurgent Carolina Panthers team.
