2017 NFL Draft: Top options for every top 10 team
Haason Reddick, LB from Temple:
I’ve been saying this for weeks and I’ll continue to say it. Haason Reddick will get drafted before Reuben Foster. Don’t believe me?
After cutting Rey Maulaga, it’s clear the Bengals have a need at linebacker. Haason Reddick shouldn’t be plugged inside but he’d be a good fit as a 4-3 OLB. I love how elusive he is off the edge but I also like what he can do in run support. He provides could hand usage and a solid bend off the edge.
Depending on how he’s used, Reddick could be a double digit sack guy. However, with going to a 4-3, he’ll be a player that can become similar to Anthony Barr for the Minnesota Vikings. He’ll transition from the defensive end position and play outside linebacker and become very productive for the Bengals.
Corey Davis, WR from Western Michigan:
There isn’t a good enough weapon to play opposite of A.J. Green. Even if Tyler Boyd were to continue to play the outside, Corey Davis in the slot could lead to tremendous results. It’s where Davis plays his best and he would be a great addition to the Bengals offense.
While the Bengals have lacked to find their balance between Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard on the ground. A lot of that is due to injury. They also can’t seem to find a reason to why they payed Andy Dalton. Statistically he’s average but hopefully a player like Corey Davis who is a yards-after-catch monster can improve what is average.
