There isn’t a single NFL Draft prospect having a worse ‘draft season’ than Reuben Foster

After being sent home from the NFL Scouting Combine last month, Reuben Foster still can’t catch a break. While getting into an argument with doctors during the medical checks, Foster was sent home without working out.

Last Thursday, multiple players were brought back to Indianapolis to take part in the medical re-checks for the NFL Draft. For Foster, that medical re-check didn’t go as planned.

Per the Combine recheck’s Foster’s rotator cuff is still not healed and he may need another surgery.

Before the Combine and the recheck, Foster was going to be a top-10 selection. Based off just the film, he’s a top-five player in the draft.

With this news, there’s belief that he’ll be falling out of the top-10 selections in the draft.

Where could the Alabama product now go as a result? Foster would be a great fit for the Baltimore Ravens at 16th overall. However, there may be too much risk involved with that kind of injury. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have stated they’ll be taking the “best player available” at 19th overall. Could this be where Reuben Foster gets drafted?

The irony of that is this is the same injury that Shaq Lawson dealt with in the 2016 NFL Draft and he went 19th overall to the Buffalo Bills.

I don’t believe that Foster will fall out of the first round entirely, but he definitely will slide. He still has a tremendous amount of upside and could still be very productive in the NFL.

If he were to fall to the end of the first round, teams such as Green Bay and Kansas City would salivate over him being on the board.
