The Steelers will mine defensive players here in the middle rounds. The goal here is to get younger, and more explosive. After the Jarvis Jones whiff and the ascension of the budding Bud Dupree, expect the Steelers to focus their attention on twitched up athletes like Tyus Bowser.

Bowser is the perfect  slab of wet clay for James Harrison to mold. A super twitched up linebacker, Bowser’s traits mirror a lot of what is making Bud Dupree so successful. His agility allows him to do well in coverage, and his past as a basketball player shows in his footwork.

Bowser has a lot of raw athleticism, but it’s his knack of getting to the quarterback that the Steelers will covet the most as he progresses into a starting role.

Bowser and Dupree would be the foundation of rehabilitating the desolate corpse that was the steel curtain. With those two and Harrison in rotation, opposing offensive lines would have their hands full.
