30. Pittsburgh Steelers

Florida. Jarrad Davis . 30. player. 55. The loss of Lawrence Timmons leaves a gaping hole up the middle of the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. Sure he wasn’t a young man anymore but his presence was still reliable and produced impact plays from time to time. Now the team has to figure out how to replace him. No easy feat in a draft that might be a little light at the position. Luckily the board bounces their way enough to get somebody who can step in right away and help.
Jarrad Davis has really used the pre-draft process to his advantage. He looked like a 2nd round pick all the way after a difficult 2016 season that was marked by injury. However, the Florida standout has performed very well in drills and interviews. When healthy the tape shows a player who is active and always around the football. He can play coverage, tackle and offer help in the pass rush as a blitzer. If the Steelers can keep big blockers off him, he’ll do very well.
. ILB
