The Chiefs use their tight ends as much as any team in the league. They frequently use three-tight end sets which require their tight ends to block as well as receiving skills. A player like Evan Engram from Ole Miss wouldn’t be a great fit because he would be a liability as a blocker. An inline tight end like Jake Butt makes perfect sense for the Chiefs to pair with Travis Kelce.

Measuring at an almost identical height and weight as Kelce (6’5″ 246 lbs), Butt is one of the more polished at the position, coming out of Michigan’s pro-style offense. He would slide right into the #2 tight end role, taking over for Demetrius Harris, who had some off the field issues this offseason.

Other late 3rd round fits: Davis Webb QB California, Adam Shaheen TE Ashland, Ethan Pocic C LSU, Ahkello Witherspoon CB Colorado
