A few years ago, six-foot cornerbacks were considered exclusively press corners. Nowadays it has become more of the norm, with more and more corners reaching 6’2″-6’3″. For press coverage teams like the Chiefs, corners have to not only be tall, but physical enough to match up with the bigger receivers in the NFL.

At 6’2″ 209 pounds, Douglas fits into the mold quite well. He has all the tools to develop into a physical press corner and has the benefit of not having to see the field right away as a rookie. The team has Marcus Peters, Steven Nelson, Terrance Mitchell and Phillip Gaines on the roster. Douglas could take over as a starter going into the 2018 season.

Other 3rd round fits: Kareem Hunt HB Toledo, Howard Wilson CB Houston, Tarrell Basham EDGE Ohio, Duke Riley ILB LSU
