Kansas City Chiefs 2017 NFL Mock Draft: Finding Contributors in Every Round
This drafts strengths lie in its pass rushers as well as its defensive backs. Luckily for the Chiefs, it means that they can go any number of ways with their first pick. I believe that Mitch Trubisky would be the quarterback the Chiefs would like in the first round, but trading up would cost a lot unless he were to fall into the late teens/early twenties.
McKinley would be tough for the team to pass up, as he has the chance to be a game-changing pass rusher. The Chiefs have Justin Houston, but they may lose Dee Ford to free agency and Tamba Hali to retirement after this season. McKinley would be used on third downs in his rookie year and could step into a starting role in 2018.
Other 1st round fits: Mitch Trubisky QB UNC (trade up), DeShaun Watson QB Clemson, Gareon Conley CB Ohio State, Charles Harris OLB Missouri
