23. New York Giants

Vanderbilt. Zach Cunningham . 23. player. 31. The New York Giants used to be Grand Central Station for great linebackers on defense. Over the past decade though that reputation has taken a number of hits as the talent continues to dwindle into mediocrity. It’s a big reason why their defense was really good but not quite elite last year. The linebackers were exploited a number of times, particularly in pass coverage. Somebody must be added who can bring more versatility.
Zach Cunningham turned a lot of heads at the combine with his strong performance in drills, indicating he’s a considerable athlete. This on top of some respectable tape that shows a player who flies to the football and arrives with violent intentions. Not only a good tacklers but one who can shed blocks and brings some juice as a blitzer. He has the capacity to man the middle for the G-men.
. LB
