Philadelphia Eagles

Prediction: Either WRs Mike Williams or Corey Davis will be the Eagles 1st round draft pick

There is no clear cut need heading into the offseason bigger than the wide receiver spot for the Eagles. The future is quite possibly in place in quarterback Carson Wentz. The North Dakota State product had a turbulent rookie season with 3,782 yards and 16 touchdowns. He experienced his share of highs (101.0 or better QB rating in three of his first four games, started all 16 games) and lows (four games of at least two interceptions thrown). However, he also showed enough to be a building block for the team. Especially without a clear cut #1 receiver for the entire season.

So, in order to get the young QB needed help, the Eagles have their sights set on two elite receivers in the 2017 NFL Draft. Clemson’s Mike Williams is big time receiver with size, hands, and mismatch ability. His presence in the offense will give the Eagles a legitimate threat at the position.

If Williams is not around by the Eagles 14th overall pick, Western Michigan’s Corey Davis is an excellent “consolation prize”. Davis stands at 6’3 and weighs 213 pounds and also brings size and physicality with nice speed. Having one of these receivers in the huddle for Philadelphia will help the offense immensely.
