After a successful offseason culminating in free agents and exciting draft prospects, the Jacksonville Jaguars have made a decision regarding one of their top coaches

Many people predicted the Jaguars finally turning the corner and fighting for a playoff spot with Blake Bortles and a reshaped defense. With head coach Gus Bradley on the hot seat after a 2-5 start, heads needed to roll.

According to multiple reports, the Jacksonville Jaguars have fired their offensive coordinator Greg Olson. Jacksonville was 21st in the NFL in offensive yards, and 24th with 19.9 points per game.

Quarterbacks coach Nathaniel Hackett will reportedly be promoted to offensive coordinator with a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs.

With a young quarterback in Blake Bortles surrounded by talent such as Allen Robinson, Chris Ivory, Allen Hurns, and Julius Thomas, many expected an offense bursting with points. Being competitive in the AFC South was also a goal, yet Jacksonville sits in dead-last once again.

Jacksonville has not scored more than 30 points in a single game this season, and has been held to less than 25 points in six of their seven games.

Blake Bortles has regressed tremendously in his third season out of UCF. After throwing 35 touchdowns last year, he has just 12 through seven games. Interceptions are also on the rise for the young quarterback, who is already halfway to last years 18 picks.

Gus Bradley will look to salvage his job next weekend when the Jaguars travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.
