Denver Broncos: Next Man Up with C.J. Anderson Done for the Season
A knee injury will reportedly leave the Denver Broncos without running back C.J. Anderson for an extended period of time.
After losing two quarterbacks after their Super Bowl season, the Denver Broncos have now lost their starting running back.
C.J. Anderson suffered a knee injury last week against the Houston Texans, and the medical reports have been askew. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network alluded to Anderson tearing his ACL, a fact Anderson denied then took back. ESPN Insider Adam Schefter says the ACL is intact, but Anderson will miss time with a knee injury.
The next man up for Denver is rookie Devontae Booker, a fourth round pick out of Utah. Denver received a compensatory draft pick after losing players such as Julius Thomas and Orlando Franklin

Booker had 23 touchdowns in his final two seasons for the Utes, and nearly 2,800 rushing yards.
After receiving limited carries to start his NFL career, Booker has burst onto the scene for Denver. He recorded his first touchdown last week against Houston, where he also finished with career-highs in carries and yards.
Booker is a down-hill, one-cut running back who is highly efficient. Denver has run Booker primarily to the right behind Michael Schofield, and he has had great success. Having rookie fullback Andy Janovich providing Pro Bowl blocking gives Booker great running lanes to work with.
