For the second time this year, Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham is facing charges for off the field incidents that have drawn many peoples attention

Bye weeks can be extremely stressful for a coaching staff as they let their most prized assets venture off on their own after weeks of strenuous training. Some players enjoy the quiet of home, but others want to rewind and enjoy themselves during their one week of freedom.

Organizations pray all 53 of their players return unharmed, but it seems one falls through the cracks.

Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham was arrested at a Miami airport after TSA agents located a loaded handgun in his backpack while it was being x-ray’d. Bradham showed his concealed carry permit, and said he forgot to remove the gun from his bag.

Because Bradham is facing assault charges for an off-season incident in Florida, he was arrested on a 2nd degree misdemeanor concealed weapons charge. He posted $500 bond, and was released the same day.

Local reports are that the linebacker was at practice on Monday.

In July Bradham and a group of friends were accused of assaulting a hotel employee. Bradham turned himself in to police, but says the employee assaulted his girlfriend.

Last weeks arrest makes it the second time in three months Bradham has run into issues with the law.

Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz advocated the teams signing of Bradham, who played under him in Buffalo. The 27-year-old linebacker signed a two-year contract worth $7 million, and has been a starter for Philadelphia this season.

Through three games Bradham has nine tackles and an interception for Philadelphia.

If Bradham is suspended by the league, the Eagles will most-likely insert Mychal Kendricks back into the starting rotation. Kendricks has been rotating based on scheme-packages this year after starting most of his career.
