Lady Gaga, a six-time Grammy award winner, will reportedly be named the halftime performer for Super Bowl 51 in Houston. Us Weekly first reported earlier this week the singer was in talks to headline the show, and later confirmed the report.

The pop star performed a stirring rendition of the National Anthem prior to Super Bowl 50 last year.

Lady Gaga’s six Grammy wins have in categories such as Best Female Pop Vocalist, Best Electronic/Dance Album, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Traditional Vocal Album, Best Dance Recording, and Best Short Form Music Video.

Most recently Lady Gaga has starred on the television show “American Horror Story.”

Many of Lady Gaga’s top songs have held strong on the Billboard charts, such as Poker Face, Til It Happens to You, Just Dance, Born This Way, Bad Romance, Telephone, The Fame, and Cheek to Cheek with Tony Bennett.

There’s no word yet on who could join Lady Gaga in Houston for the Super Bowl show.

Last year Coldplay headlined the show, with Bruno Mars and Beyonce joining for a sing/dance off to end the show.

The NFL has leaned towards pop artists to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, including Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Madonna, and Beyonce. It is a big change from the typical halftime shows, which have featured The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, and Prince.
