Prediction

A true freshman quarterback on the road in his first SEC conference game in a hostile crowd spells trouble. Even for the talented Crimson Tide squad.

More from College Football

The running game for Alabama will have to take off in this game. If not, Hurts will have the game in his hands and I can guarantee Saban will not want that to happen. Expect Harris and Scarborough to get fed early with the intentions on Hurts to play that role as a “game manager”. For head coach Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss, the game will be in hands of Kelly and he is capable of guiding his team to victory.

One unit that stands out above the rest is the Alabama defense. This type of matchup plays right into the hands of an interception-hungry safety in Jackson as well as Alabama’s pass rush led by Allen. If Ole Miss can create a couple of turnovers on defense, this can get quite interesting. If not, the front seven of the Crimson Tide will eventually have its way and seal a win for the boys in crimson and white.

Prediction: Alabama, 27-21
