Numerous trade possibilities

Pace is not a GM who fears making a trade as long as it’s in the best interests of the franchise. Why wouldn’t seeking out a QB in such a manner be considered? After all the number of possible options could be higher than normal in 2017 thanks to a series of unique situations around the league. Of course it starts with Jimmy Garoppolo in New England. A former 2nd round pick, some might think he’s the heir apparent to Tom Brady but the odds say he’s much likelier valuable trade chip the Patriots hope to flip for picks.

Then there’s Trevor Siemian in Denver. Though starting right now, most believe he’s the temporary option until Paxton Lynch is ready. He has intriguing qualities as well as connections to both John Fox and Northwestern. One also can’t forget A.J. McCarron, a two-time national champion at Alabama who got the Bengals to the playoffs last season when Andy Dalton went down. All are young and now boast at least some starting experience in the NFL.
