2nd Round

Michigan. Mason Cole . 2. player. 57. The thing to remember about GM Ryan Pace is he has an established method. He prefers to get the skill position players early and then secure linemen between the 2nd and 4th rounds. Don’t expect that to change. There is no doubt the Bears need more depth and talent along their offensive line. Kyle Long and Charles Leno look like fixtures and Cody Whitehair should become one as well. The lingering concerns are at right tackle and center.
Hroniss Grasu tore his ACL and Bobby Massie is a decent run blocker but unreliable pass protector. Mason Cole represents a unique solution to this problem. During most of his Michigan career he was a solid contributor at tackle for the Wolverines, boasting efficient pass blocking skill and a physical edge in the run game. In 2016 he is making the switch to center. That versatility will give Chicago lots of options upon scooping him up here.
. OT
