24. Kansas City Chiefs

24. player. 124. There is a genuine fear surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs at this moment regarding safety Eric Berry. Some wonder if 2016 may be his last season in red and white. After all the team wasn’t able to reach a deal on a long-term extension with him, and their salary cap squeeze gets even tighter next year. The team may be forced to make the difficult decision of letting the perennial Pro Bowler walk in order to ease their financial burden. That of course would leave a gaping hole at safety to fill.
Alabama is as good a football factory as there is. Starting the search there can’t hurt. Eddie Jackson coverted to safety from corner in 2015 and the results were instant success. He came down with six interceptions and helped the team win the national title. His game reflects that if a true free safety who can patrol the back end of the defense, ready to pounce on every opportunity presented by opposing quarterbacks. Coming from Alabama though, don’t expect his tackling to be neglected.
. S. Alabama. Eddie Jackson
