Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians Hospitalized
By Erik Lambert
The Arizona Cardinals knew they needed good health to win a Super Bowl, but the last person they expected to need it was their head coach.
A developing story comes out of San Diego with news that Bruce Arians, leading man for the Cardinals ended up going to a local hospital due to stomach complaints. Nothing is clear at the moment. Arians had planned to lead the team through its second week of preseason against the Chargers.
Thus far there are few indications of what the problem may be. Arians has a reputation for being an energetic and active coach with a suave side to him. That makes it easy to forget the man is also 63-years old. He will turn 64 in October. He’s not a young gun anymore. Old age can open people up to some pretty nasty conditions. For the time being NFL Mocks will await further information and keep everybody update as it comes to further light.
The Cardinals are scheduled to play the Chargers at 9:00 PCT on Friday, August 19th. If it looks like he won’t be available for that game, it will be clear something serious is going on. Here’s hoping that isn’t the case.
