player. 60. Hiring Mike Zimmer was the key to the Minnesota Vikings making the jump they did in 2015. By all accounts they should’ve beaten the Seahawks in the playoff opener but like any young team they made too many mistakes. Since then they’ve had a chance to mature and learn from that and there is every reason to think they’re ready to take an even bigger step forward this season.
Adrian Peterson is still around toting the rock. Teddy Bridgewater, while not flashy has proven every bit the intelligent and accurate game manager he needs to be. It’s the defense that is proving the strength of this team with talent at every level. Everson Griffen is an underrated pass rusher. Anthony Barr was everywhere at linebacker and Harrison Smith has become a star everybody thought he’d be at safety. Combine that with a wealth of quality bodies at corner and this team can match up with any opponent.
. . . Minnesota Vikings . 4
