. Denver Broncos . 5. player. 45. They’re the defending world champions so some might be surprised to find the Denver Broncos at #5. The honest answer is because of what they lost in the offseason. Peyton Manning was still their leader, even if he couldn’t throw the ball anymore. Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan were two of their overlooked playmakers on defense. The team still has plenty of talent but it’s hard to justify them being the same team they were. <p>Mark Sanchez is not on the same talent level as Brock Osweiler. His experience may help but the odds say the Broncos are worse at quarterback this year. Paxton Lynch gives them upside for sure but he’s still a rookie who isn’t going to take them to the Super Bowl. Their offensive line is also another series of question marks. They will be in the AFC hunt but Denver will need a lot of things to go right in order to even have a shot at repeating.</p>.
