2016 NFL Training Camp: 5 Biggest Roster Wild Cards
By Erik Lambert
Josh Gordon (WR, Cleveland Browns)
"“I definitely think I’m a different person. If you haven’t changed over a period of time than it’s definitely a bad thing. I think me standing here is a testament to that,” Gordon said. “Most people might not see it that way. That just comes with the territory with me being who I am, considering my past. But I’m only looking towards the future. And hopefully people can see that.”"
The problem with many fans is they still have visions of 2013 whenever the subject of Josh Gordon comes up. They don’t realize he’s been out of football since December of 2014. Spending that amount of time away can have disastrous effects on a player. Being away from the constant grind and working to hone their craft leads to rust and a dulling of the edge. It doesn’t help matters that Gordon will be suspended the first four games either. Perhaps he may yet regain the form that made him the best in football three years ago, but the Cleveland Browns can afford to depend on that.
