Nelson Agholor Will Not Be Charged with Sexual Assault
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor will not be charged with sexual assault after being accused by a female entertainer.
Les Bowen of Philly.com reports that sources close to the situation that no charges will be pressed on Nelson Agholor, the Philadelphia Eagles first round pick from 2015.
Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams is expected to make the official announcement on Friday, according to NJ.com.
On June 10, just hours after the conclusion of minicamp, Agholor and multiple other Eagles players visited Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club down the street. A 27-year-old dancer accused Agholor of assaulting her while they were in a private room.

NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks reported shortly after the alleged assault that a dispute had been risen over money following the dancer performing an act for Agholor in the private room. The woman reportedly left the room before the time agreed upon between her and Nelson Agholor, which Agholor agreed to pay $1,400 for.
When the woman left the room early, the 23-year-old wide receiver did not want to pay the whole $1,400, and paid her just $800 instead.
According to Shorr-Parks, the accuser left work with a friend, and never mentioned any assault.
Multiple employees of the club reportedly verified Agholor’s story, including a dancer who supposedly witnessed the events.
Drafted out of USC with the 23rd overall pick in 2015, Nelson Agholor had a difficult time getting started in the NFL last season. A high ankle sprain early in his rookie campaign hindered him for the majority of the season.
He was limited to just 23 catches, and one touchdown.
Agholor is expected to step-up this season under first-year head coach Doug Pederson. The Eagles opted not to draft another wide receiver this year, although they did make moves in free agency to add depth.
Former New York Giant Rueben Randle and former St. Louis Ram Chris Givens will play alongside Agholor this season. Third-year wide receiver out of Vanderbilt Jordan Matthews fell three yards short of 1,000 yards for the season, and has had back-to-back eight touchdown seasons.
Josh Huff will also be making a return this season, but will most-likely be limited to being a return specialist.
Undrafted free agents Cayleb Jones and Byron Marshall will also have a shot of making the 53-man roster.
The Philadelphia Eagles will open up training camp in less than two weeks.
