The Browns’ roster situation is a dumpster fire at the moment, but it has it’s bright spots. One of those bright spots was coming from the backfield, and one player from that backfield, Isaiah Crowell, has recently raised some eyebrows for the wrong reasons.

Just before the heinous Dallas shootings, Crowell posted a highly offensive, graphic image (which can be found here) of an animated officer having his throat cut by a black figure with an American flag backpack on.

This raises a lot of questions, and red flags. The Browns have even come out saying that the post was “extremely disturbing”.

Crowell issued an apology, but was it enough? According to the Browns it wasn’t. They want more after they felt his apology was ‘insufficient’’.

"We have spoken to Isaiah regarding his extremely disturbing and unacceptable social media decision. It was completely inappropriate and we have made him aware of our high level of disappointment. Isaiah has apologized but also knows that just an apology is insufficient and that he must take steps to make a positive difference after a very negative and impactful post."

Crowell is entering his third NFL season in some serious hot water. He’s receiving blow back from all sorts of people and media outlets in regards to the post. People are even on twitter calling for his NFL career to end, and for him to be cut from the Browns.

No matter the outcome, Isaiah Crowell has dug himself a pretty deep hole with a disgusting, distasteful Instagram post. This is not a good look, and could find his way out the door in Cleveland pretty soon.

The team has the promising, young Duke Johnson waiting in the wing, and now is as good a time as ever to see what he’s got.
