Johnny Manziel may never play football again, but his jerseys are still on shelves

Want a Johnny Manziel jersey? You can buy one for the low, low price of $1.99.

ESPN Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell found a clearance rack of Johnny Football Cleveland Brown jerseys for sale, and tweeted out this picture.

It is unknown if Rovell bought one.

While Manziel certainly is not a name you would want to proudly wear, I’d buy one and stuff it in the closet for 50 years. For a $1.99, it could be worth it with the rate of inflation.

Cleveland cut Manziel after just his second season in the NFL following multiple incidents, including a domestic violence claim by his ex-girlfriend. Manziel has also made appearances in court since being charged for that altercation.

Despite not being on a current NFL roster, the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was suspended by the NFL for four games after violating the league’s Substance Abuse Policy.

The former Texas A&M star has had a very public struggle with drugs and alcohol, a battle his father said he fears Johnny could lose. Manziel’s father also said he believes jail would be the best option for his son.

Manziel promised to get sober, but would hold off sobriety until after making a lavish trip to Mexico in late June. He donned a Josh Gordon jersey, and sent a shout-out to his dad on Instagram after arriving in Mexico.

Manziel did attend rehab prior to the 2015 season, and made his return to the Browns during training camp less than a year ago.
