2nd Round

Cameron Sutton . 2. player. 57. Outside of 4th round pick Deiondre Hall during this previous draft, the Bears were rather quiet at the cornerback position. They seem content to ride things out with current starters Kyle Fuller, Tracy Porter and Bryce Callahan with the belief that an improved front seven will make life easier on them. It’s not a terrible plan, but given their lack of ability to force turnovers in 2016 and a question of depth in the secondary, there is a strong chance the team can and should look to beef the position up with another body.

Cameron Sutton is just the kind of player that defensive coordinator Vic Fangio would love. He’s got good size at 6’1″ with enough speed to hang with receivers down the field as evidenced by his punt return ability. What sticks out about him though is his physical play. He’s not afraid to deliver some hard hits or make tackles and likes to get up in the face of receivers. It is just the type of corner that 3-4 defenses prefer. Quarterbacks have started to avoid him more often the past year.
. CB. Tennessee
