Last week the NFL’s official Twitter account was hacked and reported the death of Commissioner Roger Goodell. Thursday morning, hackers struck the Baltimore Ravens account.
Ravens fans had a heart attack this morning when a very popular Baltimore Ravens Twitter account announced the untimely death of quarterback Joe Flacco following a car accident.

The official Baltimore Ravens Twitter account acknowledged the hoax and assured their fans the franchise quarterback was alive and well.

Losing Joe Flacco in any sort of fashion, let alone an automobile accident, would certainly be bad for a Ravens team that lost several key players to injury.
In a related Twitter hack Thursday, Ravens fullback Kyle Juszczyk tweeted out an apology after inappropriate tweets were sent out on his personal account. The former Harvard starter, whom the Ravens drafted in the fourth round back in 2013, posted this statement on social media:
My account was hacked. I apologize for any inappropriate tweets that were posted from my account

Apparently every NFL related Twitter account uses the same password and/or security question: What is Roger Goodell’s mother’s maiden name or What was Roger Goodell’s first pet? For the later question, I would have guessed a puffer fish, because it deflates…
Anyway, it’s good to know Joe Flacco is alive and well. Hopefully Twitter can find a way to prevent such hacks from happening again and people become more stingy when picking their passwords in the future.
