Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl long-snapper Jon Dorenbos appeared on America’s Got Talent Tuesday night and did not disappoint.
The NBC television show “America’s Got Talent” has been bringing “vaudeville” acts into our homes for more than a decade. During the open auditions, we see everything from amazing singers, dancers, daredevils, and some folks that are just a bit crazy.
However, in all the years of the shows’ existence we have never seen a professional athlete take a swipe at the $1 million dollar prize and the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas.
Tuesday night, Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper Jon Dorenbos brought the art of magic from the locker-room into our homes. Since he was a teenager, Dorenbos has studied magic and is often known to perform for his teammates after practice or on long plane rides during the season.
Watch the 14-year NFL veteran share his talent with the world below.
The Pro Bowler received a unanimous vote to move on to the next round of the NBC contest.

The second round of auditions typically are aired around mid-July where the judges make their final cuts and send acts to the live shows at Radio City Music Hall. Last season’s finale was on September 15th, so Dorenbos may have to adjust his schedule should he progress through the live rounds.
The fact he is a veteran long snapper should mean missing a preseason game or two won’t hurt his chances of making the team. It may honestly be the most replaceable position in football, although having a good one is crucial. Dorenbos has certainly proven to be among the best in the game, as he has survived three head coaches and is the longest-tenured Philadelphia Eagles on their current roster.
