UPDATE: Connor Barwin releases statement saying he left 30 min before the situation arose.

Shortly after Eagles OTAs wrapped up, former first round pick Nelson Agholor and two other teammates (now confirmed to be Fletcher Cox and Connor Barwin) went to Cheerleaders Gentlemans’ Club down the street from the NovaCare Training Complex.

A few hours later, reports began to circulate that Agholor was being investigated for sexually assaulting one of the club dancers.

The Eagles confirmed their knowledge of the situation and the Philadelphia Special Victims Unit has reportedly taken over the investigation.

"“There was an allegation made against one of the [Eagles] players of a sexual assault that was reported by one of the female dancers,” said Police Commissioner Richard Ross to Philadelphia Magazine. “Our Special Victims Unit is actively running on the investigation.”"

The Eagles also released a statement on Friday regarding the allegations made against Agholor:

"“We are aware of the police investigation involving Nelson Agholor. The organization has been in contact with Nelson and with the proper authorities in Philadelphia. Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment.”"

Multiple other reports say Agholor was “set up” and that he did nothing wrong at the club.

As NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks reports, a dispute arose between the Eagles wide receiver Agholor and a dancer over money following the dancer performing an act for Agholor in a private room. The women allegedly left the room after less than an hour, which was the reported amount of time Agholor agreed to pay $1,400 for the private room and act.

When the woman left the room earlier than the agreed amount of time, Agholor did not want to pay the whole $1,400 and offered her $800 because she left early.

According to Shorr-Parks, the woman left the club and was driven home by a friend and never mentioned any unlawful events occurring between her and Nelson Agholor.

Multiple employees of the club have reportedly verified Agholor’s story, including a dancer who spent time with the players earlier Friday evening.

The Philadelphia sports blog Crossing Broad also were contacted by an Eagles source who confirmed what Shorr-Parks stated.

"Allegedly a sexual act was performed on Nelson, and the disagreement was over the money exchanged for said act.”More from NFL NewsPatriots News & Rumors: Ezekiel Elliott talks fun in Foxboro; Mills to Packers?NFC East Buzz: Isaiah Simmons trade, Deuce Vaughn praise, Eagles rumors & moreShould Trey Lance be considered an NFL draft bust?Jonathan Taylor trade rumors: 3 most alluring fits for Colts star running backTua Tagovailoa: keep ‘my name out of your mouth’; Dolphins QB sends strong message"

The report from NJ.com says Agholor has returned home to Florida, where he grew up after his family left Nigeria when he was born. The former USC Trojan was drafted by Chip Kelly and the Eagles with the 20th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft last year. He suffered a high ankle sprain early in the season, which limited his production on the field.

Eagles first year Head Coach Doug Pederson has already had to deal with multiple headaches since joining the Eagles staff. When the team drafted quarterback Carson Wentz with the second overall pick, veteran quarterback Sam Bradford held out of the beginning of the teams voluntary workouts. Pro Bowlers Fletcher Cox and Darren Sproles also did not report until it was required upon them.

Nelson Agholor is innocent until proven guilty and has not been charged with any crimes related to this case. NFL Mocks is reporting the information currently available to the public regarding this investigation and has no private sources related to this investigation.
