Nelson Agholor joined the Philadelphia Eagles last year in hopes of becoming a go-to wide receiver. Now his NFL career may be in jeopardy.

In a sports world that is cracking down on players involved in incidents of domestic violence and sexual assault, the former 1st round pick may have landed himself in some boiling water as news surfaced he is being accused raping an exotic dancer. Philadelphia magazine had more.
"“Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor has been accused of raping a dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club, law enforcement sources have told Philadelphia magazine.A 27-year-old dancer told police that she was raped inside the club, which is located on Front Street near Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, about 3 p.m. on Thursday.“There was an allegation made against one of the [Eagles] players of a sexual assault that was reported by one of the female dancers,” said Police Commissioner Richard Ross. “Our Special Victims Unit is actively running on the investigation.”Ross said detectives are trying to track down video footage from the club. Ross said the Police Department has been in contact with Eagles officials. Agholor is expected to be interviewed by investigators some time soon.”"
As things stand Agholor has not been arrested or charged with anything. It’s all about gathering facts at this point. Still, if it’s true the young wide receiver committed the crime, his NFL is almost certainly over as he will face a strong court battle just to stay out of prison. He finished 2015 with 23 catches for 283 yards and a touchdown. The Philadelphia Eagles had hoped a new coaching staff might be able to help him realize his high potential as a pass target.
That is very much in jeopardy.
