If you haven’t heard already, the 2016 defensive line group was a deep as it been in years. For this exact reason, many defensive linemen were taking in  later rounds than many expected. Willie Henry from Michigan is a prime example of a player who spent his last season at Michigan climbing up draft boards but never could put together all of the pieces to become a dominant player.

At pick 132, Henry has great value and has the talent to come to the organization and compete for valuable playing time. The only question is where Henry is going to play. He fits well into a base 4-3 defense but could also fit into the Ravens’ hybrid front as an 5-technique if needed to. I think he will have to fight his behind Kapron Moore-Lewis to get reps on the defense.

I don’t expect his impact to make a change this season but Henry could very well become a starter at the tackle spot in two or three years.
